Fashion about town.

This was the second time I've seen this lady pushing a stroller downtown. She's older, actually looks like she's in her late 40s or 50s. Both times I've seen her, she's been sporting the pink pumps and white socks. Well, at least it matches her ensemble.


I'm all for the Rasta look. But Rasta Bako? It gets waaaay too hot here for that!

Of course my lame camera skills may have messed this up too much to make out. But this lovely lady, a young woman in her 20s, was wearing a long floral skirt and black ankle socks paired with red VERY SHINY Nike tennies. Hmmmmm. Not sure what she was going for here.

Well, in the time I haven't posted, fashion has MADE THE HEADLINES.

Miss Mexico had what I thought was a pretty cool dress all picked out for the Miss Universe pageant. But some of her countrymen felt it was offensive and made a mockery of Catholic martyrs.

I thought it was way cool! A belt made of bullets? Dead people hanging in full gory detail and a man facing a firing squad painted on the skirt? Man!!! I want one of those for my next budget meeting!

And as for plus size gals going for the teeny bopper styles, well, like they say, it's a free country - but still a fashion DON'T!!!

And I know the scooter-ridin' cowboy was bald because his head was somewhat too large for his hat, which "perched" rather than sat atop his head. And he had NO HAIR for a full inch above the tops of his ears.

Granted, he could have had a serious mop on the crown, but I doubt it.

And I might make up a lot of things (mostly involving my ability to drink copious amounts of booze and still function) but not about FASHION!

But I swear I saw this in Albertsons yesterday.

A fat, bald guy in his 50s wearing a bling-bling rapper necklace, bracelet and ring. Wearing dark sunglasses and a cowboy hat.

Riding one of those old people scooters with the basket in front and talking LOUDLY on his cell phone telling whoeverwas on the other end that they "better get your shit toGETHER!"

How I wished my camera was at the ready!
