The long and the short of it...
A colleague (male) responded to my rant about the baggy long shorts in the photo of the gentleman buying Mickey-Ds below.
My colleague's contention is that the baggy long shorts for men is all the fault of us ladies. (I mentioned that this look originated in prison, but was dismissed)
He claims that the low-rise jeans look favored by many gals (including moi) created a glut of "butt baring" clothing. So men really have no choice. In face, he challenged me to go into any store and actually find shorts that would fit and not have that long baggy look.
Aha! A challenge I can accept! (he doesn't know this, but I shop for my husband and am quite capable of finding nice shorts that neither sag nor bag and don't extend so far down the calf as to make the wearer's legs look deformed!)
